ps: the reason I put 'advance critique' is not because I think these are that great and I want people to tell me they are, but rather, because if anyone has suggestions, I really want them. thank you!

aw thank you  there's quite a story behind these two.. the bigger one Tiger was born in captivity.. her mom was caught and saved from a lawnmower at my friends house. she happened to be preggers and had about 20 babies a couple days later. almost all escaped and I released the mom but Tiger never left, even though she could have. then two more snakes came later on that were rescued from the same lawnmower. I wasn't expecting it but one of them mated w/Tiger and then TIGER had babies! Basi is the largest baby. she just was pregnant for the first time but her babies did not live because she is very young still. all these baby snakes is why my name is baby-snakes :aww: :giggle:

NIce composition, I like how balanced the photo is - are these garter or rat snakes?

thank you! they are garter. ^^ I considered a long time on the composition so I'm glad you mentioned it. I like the lighting too, its a little on the harsh side because its their tank light which is very bright, but I like the way its divided half and half between dark and light.. thanks a lot for the comment  I appreciate it.

:giggle: that's quite a family! at one point i found five snakes during the summer. i let two go, one died, and the other two mated and had four babies. one was stillborn though... the other three i cared for until they were about the length of my hand, and then i let them go. the mother died shortly afterwards and the father i kept until he died just recently. i got another one, though, and i'm happy. i love snakes :giggle: :glomp:
